Julep's platform is an open-source managed backend designed to facilitate the creation of AI agents. Developers can create stateful AI agents in just 10 minutes using Julep. The platform is supported by a multi-agent framework and automatically manages user history, supports most large language models (LLMs), includes a built-in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline, and offers integrations with over 100 tools. It also features adaptive context management and task execution capabilities.

The main concepts within Julep are agents, sessions, and users. Users can start a session and add both agents and other users to it. These agents are capable of creating plans and performing tasks—tasks being the most crucial feature of Julep, set to launch around August 15th. Tasks function as workflows for AI agents, similar to GitHub Actions.

Additionally, "Memories for users" is an upcoming feature that will further enhance the platform's capabilities by allowing persistent storage of user interactions and experiences.
